A story between Chong Xue Zhi, the young mistress of the Hall of Flame who sets out on a journey, and Shangguan Tou, the master of the Moon Valley who only has eyes for her. Chong Xue Zhi, the young mistress of Hall of Flames, ventures into the martial world for the first time. She meets Shangguan Tou, the graceful yet imposing master of Moon Valley. The Lotus God Nine Stance Technique, which serves as the Hall of Flames’ greatest treasure gets stolen. Chong Xue Zhi is banished from her home and assassins are sent after her. She survives through the help of Shangguan Tou and they fall in love. Chong Xue Zhi is reunited with her second father Lin Chang Ran and learns that her father left behind a secret manuscript to counter the demonic manifestation from practicing the Lotus God Nine Stance Technique. Meanwhile, a mysterious man who has mastered the technique has committed multiple murders, instilling fear amongst the people. Haha yes i am here bcause of Leo Luo. 3 characters are from Ashes of Love. Muyuan, Xuezhi & Shangguan Tou.
Xuezhi character is naive, clueless. I don't think Yukee pulled this off, the way she talks is yek for me, her voice pretending to be gentle&cute. Maybe it's bcause i prefer Yang Zi to take on Xuezhi role, i watched Yang Zi/Jin Mi from Ashes i feel she really pull off the clueless part & seriously damn adorable and natural doing it. And perhaps i hoped Leo Lu who acted as Run Yu in Ashes to get his happy ending with Yangzi if she is casted as Xuezhi.
Shangguan Tou ws pretty flirty with Xuezhi whn he rescued her when she was blinded. Am curious how can he feel such way about a girl that he met 1st time, cant even see her entire face as her eyes were covered. Love must really be blind. Further episodes, he did put a stop to it once Xuezhi responded to his love. I was pleased bcause seriously who will actually love a fake pretend clueless gentle girl. But i already know they will be together bcause i read the synopsis.
Show starts off fast with fighting, dueling, further episodes in, it became slow as fu** then picks up again then slow. Tou's entrance at the 1st conference, i ws drooling. I still don't know who swapped the poison that was meant for Hall of Flames with Sword Manor.
Abbess Ciren's eyebrow is like nike logo. wow nike got a new ambasaddor.
Ep10- i noticed how fake the way boatman row the boat.
Xuezhi is annoying, she repeats a few times she will leave Tou alone after he said he doesn't love her. Why must repeat so many times. She also like to be pitiful saying shes the hated person of the kungfu world because of her father, how everyone wanting to kill her all the time, bla bla bla also repeat many times. Her self-pity is throughout the series. Its quite tiresome.
Ep16- Im thinking whatever for did Tuo invite Hongxiu & Langya along, seems like they didn't do anything but get hurt. Especially Langya who is too busy protecting Hongxiu.
Ep21- Fengzhi treats the engagement like rice, one moment want to eat, one moment dont want to eat. Shuang Shuang & Feng Cheng = despicable, am waiting for the episode to watch them suffer.
Ep26- the way Xuezhi talk to Tou is so..., if can i wana puke on her face, i was thinking pls dont end up with her so she can regret for the rest of her life. If she's so capable why always need him to save her. sighhh the plot is torturing me T_T.
Tou's refusal to explain his innocence to repair his relationship & to keep things from Xuezhi to protect her is damn annoying cause it's too frequent. Yoyo throughout the series. But on the other hand i dont want them to end up together LOL.
Lotus Sutra is wasted on Xuezhi. For someone who is a Level5/6/9, she doesnt win a lot & needs constant saving. Would have liked to see more wowness of her kungfu. Why Shangguan Tou even bother lying to Xuezhi that hes dead, so easy to fish him to confess, wasting time.
Finished watching, but i still havent figure out what exactly Prince Lu wants, 1st i thought he wanted to control the martial world, then i thought he wanted to practice Nine Moves but became cuckoo after his plans failed. His schemes are impressive but i dont know what is he trying to achieve. His acting is impressive though.
Overall okay to watch, too many unnecessary flashbacks. Its more like journey to develop love with some kungfus thrown inside. Some parts is like whatever for, this thing happened-meaningless. I wouldnt say its a great drama & not a terrible drama, in between for me.
